The Liao dynasty was an empire in East Asia that ruled from 907 to 1125 over present-day Mongolia and portions of the Russian Far East, northern Korea, and northern China. 

 遼朝，是由契丹人建立的一個朝代，國祚從西元916年至1125年，長達210年。全盛時期疆域東到日本海，西至阿爾泰山，北到額爾古納河、大興安嶺一帶，南到河北省南部的白溝河。

備註： 鑌鐵：以原意為鑌鐵的「契丹」一詞作為民族稱號，來象徵契丹人頑強的意志和堅不可摧的民族精神。
